Unit 2- Planning my Primary Research

I decided to mindmap my ideas for sourcing my primary research. I've decided that I'm going to mainly focus on interviews but I will also put out a survey.

I posted 4 posts on both my Instagram accounts to recruit people to interview about sustainability.

  • I sampled the blue background from the colour palette that 'Spotify Wrapped' was using at the time- a trend that young people were posting to their Instagrams on the day I posted these stories. I thought that using the same colour palette would invite audiences to engage and read the information
  • I used a slide that gave examples to add clarity and make my request obvious so I recruit the right typeof interviewee
  • I used colour to highlight the key words and get the key message across effectively
I then posted these stories to my Facebook in order to recruit more people and from a different age range. I discovered that reposting them faltered the quality of the posts and also that the older audience wouldn't be able to read them as the colours make it hard. I realised this after my Nan called me and let me know that she couldn't read it, she said 'the light coloured words against the light background means I can't read it at all!' So I decided to change the colour palette, as shown below.
